Dr. Carlos comes home 

Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that Internal Medicine physician Jennifer (Muehlhausen) Carlos MD, a Logansport High School graduate, has joined its staff. Dr. Carlos, daughter of Jim and Sally Muehlhausen, is the first success story of Memorial’s high school and college internship programs to encourage Cass County graduates to return to the area to practice medicine.

            Dr. Carlos received her medical degree at Indiana University and completed her residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She will practice part-time in Logansport while her husband Graham completes a Pulmonary Fellowship in Indianapolis.

            “I’m so happy to be coming back to my home town to serve the community that raised me,” commented Dr. Carlos. “I am eager to work with Dr. Morrical and Dr. Bennett while doing something I love – taking care of patients.”

Memorial welcomes new vascular specialist

Vascular Specialist and Surgeon Craig A. Miller MD will begin seeing patients at Memorial Hospital on September 12. Dr. Miller has practiced at Vascular Surgery of Kokomo for the past five years, utilizing the most advanced techniques to treat the full spectrum of vascular problems from varicose veins to aortic aneurysms.
            Dr. Miller is a graduate of Northwestern University, Ohio State University and the University of California, San Francisco. He is board certified in General and Vascular Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is the author of the book The Making of a Surgeon in the Twenty-First Century, which is in its second printing in both the United States and Japan.
