Respond in a Heartbeat

At Logansport Memorial, our mission to provide healthy heart care is a commitment to patients of all ages and all circumstances. To provide technology that is both state-of-the-art and immediately accessible, Logansport Memorial Hospital Foundation is actively seeking donations – individual, family, civic group, corporate, philanthropic – to fund the purchase of a new OB Central Monitoring system and heart-saving defibrillators.

The OB Central Monitoring Unit will deliver the most-sophisticated care available now, and in the foreseeable future, for the nearly 500 babies Logansport Memorial Hospital delivers annually. This monitoring system is an electronic clinical-care information system that simultaneously links mother, baby, clinicians, nurses and physician(s) with the mother and baby’s heart functions. Any irregularities in the fetal or mother’s heartbeat will be immediately recorded and accessible, even if the physician is at home.

Defibrillators are electronic instruments that apply electrical shocks to the heart when its beating becomes dangerously rapid or erratic. The shocks can restore normal heart rhythms before cardiac arrest occurs. New advancements in defibrillator technology allow healthcare workers greater ability to save lives than ever before. Logansport Memorial Hospital Foundation is hoping to purchase state-of-the-art defibrillators to share throughout Logansport Memorial Hospital including the ER, Medical Floors and Intensive Care Unit, so that no matter where a heart attack occurs, the life-saving technology will be readily available.

Contributions in any amount are welcome. Donor recognition and/or acknowledgement will be provided unless the donor wishes to remain anonymous. Donor recognition is also rewarded with distinctive gifts of appreciation. Recognition is applicable to individual and corporate donors.

Levels of Giving:

Ace of Hearts	$25,000 and above
King of Hearts	$10,000 - $24,999
Queen of Hearts	$5,000 - $9,999
Jack of Hearts	$2,500 - $4,999
Big Heart	$500 - $2,499
Heartwarmer	$500 and below

Contributions may also be made in memory or honor of an individual. Gifts may be earmarked, if a donor so chooses, for the OB Central Monitoring System, a Defibrillator, or for either.
