At Logansport Memorial Hospital, the Family Birth Center is dedicated to providing optimal prenatal care. This helps you and your family plan and prepare for childbirth and the care of your baby.

We serve Cass County and the surrounding communities by offering high quality, cost-effective maternal and neonatal services in a supportive, compassionate and family-centered environment.

The Family Birth Center has five labor, delivery and recover (LDR) rooms, a Cesarean Section suite, a Level II Nursery and ten private, postpartum suites.

Pregnancy is a time when you have many questions and concerns. Our staff provides community outreach programs, including educational classes and information regarding support groups.

 

We provide many complimentary amenities:

• After their baby’s arrival, new parents choose from a celebratory meal or a gift basket filled with snacks to take home and enjoy.
• New mothers receive a follow-up phone call from one of the obstetric nurses after returning home. The nurse will answer any questions regarding your care or the care of your baby.
• Nurses educated in breastfeeding are available to provide information and assistance to help you and your newborn during your hospital stay. Families may continue to receive breastfeeding support from our lactation specialist after returning home from the hospital
• New parents are given a Halo SleepSack wearable blanket to reduce the risk of SIDS and accidental suffocation. This valuable gift is provided by the Mary Dykeman Guild and the Logansport Memorial Hospital Foundation.
• New parents receive gift packs containing many items to help care for their new baby and local merchant coupons.
• Wireless Internet is in all patient rooms.
