Pulmonary Rehabilitation is designed to control, reduce and alleviate the symptoms and complications of chronic pulmonary disease. The program will teach patients how to reach the highest possible level of independent functioning for activities of daily living within the limitations of their pulmonary disease. The program also teaches patients to self-manage their daily living consistent with their pulmonary disease process. Physicians throughout North Central Indiana refer people to the Cardiopulmonary Services department at Logansport Memorial Hospital for personalized, accessible, and supportive care.

Individualized services include education about COPD and lung health for patients and family members, monitored exercise, stress management, risk factor, and behavior modification strategies, and support from group dynamics. This program is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

Logansport Memorial Hospital's Pulmonary Rehab is overseen by Medical Director and Pulmonologist, Dr. Abhishek Vedavailli, MD, MPH. If you have been diagnosed or are at-risk for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or another lung condition, talk to your physician about pulmonary rehab care.
