State-of-the-art care, close to home.
Two family members are encouraged to be the main contact for communication with ICU staff and to take responsibility for informing the rest of the family about the patient’s condition.
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Logansport Memorial Hospital offers state-of-the-art, comprehensive care to those who are critically ill. Patients in the ICU may require invasive monitoring, ventilators or other specialized equipment and intensive care. Our six-bed ICU incorporates all of the latest technological advancements required for the special monitoring and medical needs of our patients. Our staff of nurses and physicians provides individualized care for each patient. In addition, the ICU is supported by many hospital-based services such as respiratory therapy, physical therapy and dietetics.
Our ICU staff believes that family involvement in your loved one’s care benefits their well-being. Our caregivers encourage and facilitate visitation in a manner that promotes healing, balances patient and visitor needs, and creates a safe and secure environment. Visitation is open 24 hours a day with the exception of shift changes from 5 a.m. - 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.
